Requirement: FCA's HR Services needed to improve the process of producing and verifying employment contracts and letters.
Solution: SJM Training designed a solution in Word using automated templates with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for the HR employment contracts (permanent and temporary staff) and other correspondence. The employment contract template captures information from three custom user forms and then creates seven different contract types using programming code. The automatic processes perform financial and date calculations, insert information at all relevant locations and insert or remove clauses and variable information as appropriate for the different contract types.
Once implemented there were immediate benefits in terms of process improvement and a significant reduction in the time taken for on-boarders to create contracts and managers to proof read them.
